Parts needed for my new Westy

Postby vwfool » Tue May 09, 2017 11:38 am

Looking for a bay window rear bumper, mounts and splash pans for the Westy I am picking up from John.

Anyone?

It looks solid overall. It needs little tinkering crap like shifter bushing, throw out bearing, etc. Since I got home with it I have been working a lot and then the damn in-laws showed up ](*,)

Hopefully next week I will start tinkering with it.

I got these in a "you gotta buy everything" deal. That should be early bay. One looks like it might've been bent? Or left and right have a slightly diff angle? I'm not near my bus but can check tonight with the ones installed.
Even if it's bent it looks like an easy fix.
If you think they'd work, just let me know where to ship.

I am not even sure what they should look like. I will take them if you think they will work. I can fix it if it's bent. PM me your info

Here are pics of the ones on my bus, taken from the center out. My bumper is pretty straight so I'm going to assume they aren't hit.
Looks like the one on the driver side has a sharper bend.
I think you'll be good. If not, you might have to tweak them just a hair.

YOU send ME your info. I'll be the one shipping Smile

I think the motor in ur westy is my OG single port motor I traded to john. It's a runner. Not enough power for me. But I drove it to a utah show and back no problems. my buddy says I should have saved it. I only like the body OG not the motor. I like big motors. So if it takes a shit hit me up I might want the case for a paper weight. Let's hear this birtch run

John had it running for me when I picked it up. All the parts ordered for it showed up today. Rear view mirror, front floor metal repair section, throw out bearing, among other little things. I am actually heading out right now to start working on it
