well.. thought I would put some shocks on my car today... I started some shock mounts yesterday and finished em up today.. well, decided to change my main seal.. it has been leaking.. Which was the easy part of the day!!!! Then decided to figure out why my pedals have been not returning right.. which turned into a big pain in the ass with the cable brakes, 2 different push rods, ebrake and brake pedal, torn up buchings in the pedal assy, etc... what a major pain in the ass that was.. but now I know all about cable brake pedal assy and how to assemble them.. I highly suggest doing it off the pan!
My pedals had the same logo's as Richards.. flying swatika thing on one and cog logo on the other..
Richard, I'm all practicied up for your assy!
Here's barons shock mounts.. I thought they might work on my car, but no go.. my car was too low.. so fabbed some shit up.

| very stiff ones! I think we ended up running some white KYB's on the car. The new shock mounts are working great. No more bottoming out with the 2 fat guys in the KDF... We also swapped out a leaky rear main seal, and because we hate outselves, we took the pedals out of the car, took them apart, greased them, fixed the brake pedal return spring, and then put it all back in the car. With cable brakes, its a major pain in the ass... its like threading a needle with 10 thumbs, but in the end, we kicked its ass and the car is so much better to drive now. |
