Sweet idea for the new section! I guess I should finally post up my rides all the way from New Zealand.
My '58 Ragtop...
Aussie assembled semiphored car, sitting on a '67 pan. She's currently siting at nosebleed status so will be getting a 4" beam and 2 splines out the back and some Speedmasters. She was originally a black car and I recently scored an OG black deck lid, so I'm going to try take the prime back to reveal it's original beauty.
Only mods so far is custom door cards and some general maintenance. It wasn't running when I brought it, but after some new plugs, coil, points, fuel pump and a rebuilt carb, she fired straight up.
My other beast is a '59 Single Cab. It features alot of rust and alot of moss! It's going to be on backburner status for a little while so I can save up some funds. Plans are bagged on Fuch's with a big man motor and trans.

I like your plans for the single, don't see them done like that down here in NZ at all.
That's along the lines of what I have planned for my next project too, but maybe not the big engine, by the time I have it done gas will be too expensive!!! |

Passenger door car finished
OG black paint decklid
And after a polish

I tried taking back the primer to reveal the OG paint, but the PO had sanded it back pretty good so I've saved what I could (interior and door jams, etc) and resprayed everything else.

Another delivery arrived a couple of weeks back
Ordered my peronalised plate aswell. These things are crazy expensive in NZ
Yesterday I got the ragtop trial fitted. The car never came with any mechs, so I had to get some from theSamba and had them shipped.
Big thanks to KCW for the ragtop tech video. With nothing to reference from to start with, it made life soo much easier!

| Nice. The over riders look like some sort of an accessory? |

Thanks guys.
Yep, the fabric on the door cards is Sailor Jerry style tattoo art. I've got enough to do the ragtop headliner and thinking about doing the running boards aswell and coating in epoxy resin. Not 100 no that idea yet, might be a bit too much?
Not too sure on the over riders either. To be honest, Ive never even picked up on them! Could be an aussie thing? |

I have never seen over riders like that. Keep them on the rig for sure and just tell everybody they are super rare and worth big bucks until you find out otherwise |

Got the mighty 1500 running again this weekend. Put in the new starter motor, only to find the ignition switch was bung. Probably didn't even need the new starter, but at least I won't have to worry about it for a while.
Got the door latches polished and started on the sunroof rails aswell.
Before
Latches all polished
One of the rails done
Another parcel arrived at work today.
New air cleaner (sitting on the PICT 30 that still needs rebuilding )
And new bullet caps for the Speedmasters
