So last weekend my buddy Jase and I were talking how we really missed an Uber rat at the show's this season,
So we had this hair brained idea to get something happening for yesterday(Our Easter show).
As some of you may know I built a rat CB back in 2005......
What most people don't know was there was another, much rattier CB (KO752) That Dad and I owned at the same time. It has been dragged through a few house moves and was happily out to pasture in my Dad's yard, until last Saturday that is, hahaha.
As it was only a body we needed a pan too, so Dad donated the pan from under a half built choptop that he recently found......
We threw in a spare long axle box, got the body on and took it around to HQ............
The Pan as of Sunday............
The Pan as of Tuesday, 6in narrowed beam, notched spring plates lowered 3 splines, 17in Escras............
Engine in.......
And Body half on Thursday..........
And Thursday arvo we're done..............
2Dots ignition panel.............
All loaded up and ready for the show......
A few pics from the show yesterday...........
And parked up with my mate's CB KO377........
By far the best original un-restored CB I've ever seen...........
Huge Thanks to Jase, Dad, 2dots, Brodie and all the other Bendigo Squadron boys :D
It was a huge hit 8)
So start to finish 5 days, all in the first week of April |

cool ride.. what a coincidence..
A friend of me talked about the 'old' ratlook country buggy yesterday, and suggested we should built 2 ratty ones in the near fututre from scratch..
What wheelbase are the buggy's?
looks great |

Cheers :)
CB's basically use a bug pan with a few little differences, no heater controls for one. The originals use similar front and rear ends to a Kubelwagen (reduction boxes, raised spindles etc)
So yeah wheel base is the same as a bug. |

Thanks Franz!
No real plans for it just yet, Well no more for the month of April anyway ;)
We've got a few other projects in the shed at the moment that really need to be done first. Ideally it would be great to get stuck into the rust, but that might be a while away.
CB's are extreamly hard to find, there's believed to be as little as 300 left and of that maybe 100 are still in drivable condition. |

Since last year, after having engine dramas, it's been sitting in the corner of the shed neglected...
After a long hibernation we thought we might as well throw another engine in the CB and take it along to the Jamboree (a VW show here).
